Hot off the digital press, our latest white paper was championed by ILTA’s Knowledge Management Peer Group. We’re just a couple of months away from our premier annual event, and the excitement is building! You can read all about it from the conference website, and I’d like to bring a few details to the foreground:

Sessions: The educational lineup of almost 200 sessions is spectacular. You can view/download an overview and/or the details of the program. You can also search for content and drill down on the details from the Search Sessions feature on the right side of the conference website. You can also view our impressive lineup of speakers. Follow the conference on Twitter with the #ILTA11 hashtag, and note the hastags for specific sessions as you’re looking at the details from the conference site.

Daily Keynotes: You can start each morning on the right educational foot by attending the daily keynote followed by an “unplugged” session with the day’s speaker. We’ve got dynamic, thought-provoking and entertaining speakers that include Chris Trimble, Tom Koulopoulos, Robin Crow and Jan McInnis.

Alternative Session Formats: ILTA 2011 provides a variety of formats to fit every learning style. We’ll have our ever-popular sessions with expert speakers and case studies and crowdsourcing. In addition, the content for a number of sessions will be developed through social networking on ILTA’s E-Groups and Twitter (follow #ILTA11 to participate). There are also a dozen hands-on sessions –– complete training sessions on MS OneNote, Office and Excel, SharePoint, InfoPath, Windows 7 Security, Computer Forensics and COS / QOS.

BarCamps: On Thursday, we offer two half-day, fully interactive, semi-structured sessions, with small group conversations around Law2020 topics (a.m.) and information management (p.m.) developed from ILTA member survey and social media responses and published in a wiki prior to the conference. The BarCamp conversations will be led by ILTA volunteer facilitators, and takeaways will be shared at the end of the event and published in the wiki.

Registration: Congratulations to Bobbi Dodd of Hawley Troxell who is the winner in our Early Bird prize drawing. Bobbi joined 673 of her peers who had registered for conference by May 31, and her name was drawn.

Keep your eye on the date that the late fee kicks in, and get your registration in ahead of that. Starting July 16, and additional $200 will be charged. If you’ve not already registered, do so today! ILTA TV Live! studio will be back for a third year at ILTA 2011. ILTA TV Live! will be broadcasting for two hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the conference. The show will brim with exciting, fast-paced interviews with peers as well as known experts. For those who’ll not be able to attend the conference, ILTA TV Live is the perfect way to tune in for live video broadcasts, or easily access the recordings after the conference.

For those who’ll be present at ILTA 2011 and would like a daily summary, a recording will be available at the end of each day. Hosted by ii3 Inc. CEO Shy Alter, a veteran consultant to the legal industry, ILTA TV Live will cover the conference’s key topics on each day of broadcast.

ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards: We’re looking forward to our evening gala on Thursday, August 25, when we’ll celebrate our award winners. Please note that three award categories are still open for nominations: SharePoint Innovator of the Year, Project of the Year and Innovative Member of the Year nominees can apply by June 30th.
